Careers Fair

On the 5 th of November, Team Target proudly attended the annual careers fair at The Academy, Selsey. This is a yearly event designed to inspire students and help them to explore life beyond education. Each year, we take this opportunity to showcase what we do at Target.

This year, Trudy and Syeda represented Team Target, spending the day engaging with students from different year groups. Our stand featured branded notepads, pens, and plenty of sweets to bring people to us. The real highlight was our interactive quiz, where students were challenged to step into the shoes of a Trace expert:

“Target is a data verification company. The task is to use the information you know about Emily Carter, which is bullet-pointed, and match it up against one of the four profiles in front of you.”

The quiz proved a great success, with students working in teams, using logic and process of elimination to crack the challenge. Many were excited by the idea of detective-style work and asked about future career opportunities at Target.

Although the overall event was about inspiring the next generation, Trudy and Syeda took the opportunity to learn from other exhibitors, including the Arun Veterinary Group, who brought along their lovely dog, and Chichester Harbour Conservancy, who shared tips on protecting the environment. They also joined in bracelet making with the LGBTQ youth café, showing support for an amazing local organisation.

The careers fair is always a fantastic opportunity to meet enthusiastic students and speak to different local businesses. We’re proud to play a part in shaping future careers, and we can’t wait to return next year!
