Target achieves Gold Impact Certification from FuturePlus

Target has achieved Gold Impact Certification from FuturePlus, which independently assesses performance across climate, diversity & inclusion, social, economic and environmental impact. 

The accreditation is part of FuturePlus’ FutureImpact framework, which looks at how organisations measure and improve over time. Rather than focusing on one area, it considers how a business operates as a whole. Progress is supported by evidence and independent verification. 

This progress can been seen in the team’s overall score, which has increased from 359 in November 2024 to 403. This places Target above the sector average and shows gradual improvement over time. 

Looking deeper into the numbers, Diversity & Inclusion and Social impact stand out with the highest scores of 91 and 86. All other areas also performed strongly, giving a more balanced result. 

As a whole, the results demonstrate continuous progress across the business, rather than in just one area. It includes how teams operate day to day, as well as environmental responsibility and wider social impact. Much of this work happens in the background, but it plays an important role in how the business operates and reinforces Target’s values. 

To recognise this accomplishment, the FuturePlus team visited the office to present the award in person. It was a good opportunity to step back and recognise the progress that’s been made.
